Supervision for Psychology students

5+1 pathway to general registration

Sarah can provide primary or secondary supervision to provisionally registered psychologists completing 1 year of supervised practice (following their 5 years of accredited university training) who are working towards the National Psychology Exam and general registration.

Professional placements during university training

Sarah can provide primary or secondary supervision to students completing a placement during their university training, who require an off-site primary or secondary supervisor. Unfortunately Sarah cannot provide placement opportunities to students at the current time.

Sarah is passionate about supporting students to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and other competencies to successfully complete the accredited pathway to general registration, and to develop confidence and passion in their psychology career.

Supervision for registered psychologists and other mental health professionals

Sarah is also able to provide registered psychologists and other mental health professionals with supervision that focuses on the particular learning interests of each supervisee. This could include:

  • Developing competencies, knowledge and skills in a particular area of practice.

  • Support and consultation around specific clients.

  • General consultation and supervision to meet competency-based goals for PD requirements.

  • Reflective practice and personal support with the overall aim of improved self-awareness, self-care, and mitigation and prevention of burnout and vicarious trauma.

Sarah is particularly passionate about providing trauma-focussed supervision to professionals working with clients with PTSD or complex PTSD presentations.
